Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue (OxSAR)

Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue is a team of volunteers available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to support the emergency services.

Our main role is to assist the Police service with vulnerable missing person searches across Oxfordshire and assist other search teams in the surrounding counties. OxSAR is also available to assist the emergency services, county council and other agencies in the event of a major incident.

OxSAR, like so many volunteer organisations receives no government funding and is only able to continue our life saving work through the kind support of the public.

Since setting up in July 2008, OxSAR has assisted on more than 80 missing people searches across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex, Surrey, and Wiltshire.
